Overview
Alabama runs a network of 11 SBDCs that provide one-on-one counseling in business planning, proposal writing, technical assistance, and referral assistance. The Technology Assistance Program is working to solve the needs of manufacturing, engineering, and other technology-oriented companies in the state.
Programs/Services
The Alabama Small Business Development Center (ASBDC) sponsors the Technical Assistance Program (TAP) to assist state companies in utilizing the SBIR program through counseling, limited financial assistance, and educational seminars. Counselors will help candidate companies select the appropriate agency and research areas, assist in the use of grant writers, and employ experienced SBIR winners to critique applications prior to submission.
